בשל זאת, ובשל הביקוש מצד מדינות אחרות בעולם, יריד קלן החל לפני מספר שנים לייצא את המותג "תערוכת מזון" למדינות אחרות בעולם. הערך של זה, עבור היצרנים הגרמנים והיצרנים המקומיים, כמובן, הוא הקירבה הפיזית הנוצרת בין המוכרים לקונים, מה שמגדיל את הסיכויים ליצירת עסקים.
